Discover the ultimate Overwatch 2 Sojourn build in Stadium mode, combining powerful Powers and items for unstoppable gameplay and thrilling eliminations.
The moment I loaded into my first Stadium match with Sojourn in Overwatch 2's Season 19, I knew I had found my new main. There's something exhilarating about the way her Railgun charges up, the satisfying click as you release a fully charged shot, and watching enemy health bars vanish in an instant. After dozens of matches and countless eliminations, I've perfected what I believe is the ultimate Sojourn build in Stadium mode.
The Power of Overcharge
When I first started playing Sojourn in Stadium, I was overwhelmed by the Power options. After much experimentation, I discovered that focusing on pure weapon power creates an absolutely devastating build. The cornerstone of any effective Sojourn loadout must begin with the Overcharge Power.

I still remember the first time I activated Overcharge and watched my Railgun charge climb to 150 without increasing the cost. The raw power at my fingertips was intoxicating. Where I once had to carefully choose my moments to fire charged shots, I now found myself unleashing them with reckless abandon. Teams would scatter at the sight of me sliding into position, knowing what was coming.
Pairing Overcharge with Conductor Chase as my second Power purchase was a game-changer. The 25% faster Railgun charge generation combined with 75% slower charge decay means I'm rarely without a fully charged shot ready to go. I've had matches where I'm firing charged shots every second, turning corridors into death traps for the opposing team.
Building the Ultimate Arsenal
For my third and fourth Power slots, I eventually settled on Aftershock and Lock and Load. Aftershock has given me some of my most satisfying moments in Stadium. Landing a charged headshot for an elimination only to watch nearby enemies get caught in the 75% damage explosion is pure joy. I once eliminated three players with a single well-placed shot thanks to this Power!
Lock and Load completes the build perfectly, reloading my weapon during slides. This might seem minor, but when combined with the right items, it creates a flow state where I'm constantly sliding, shooting, and eliminating without ever having to pause to reload.
The Perfect Item Combination
Finding the right items to complement my Powers took some trial and error. The Shah-Mat Strategem was my first priority, as the weapon power and attack speed boosts are substantial. But what really makes this item shine is the increased projectile speed after spending Railgun charge. Sojourn's primary fire isn't hitscan, so this helps immensely with landing shots consistently.
Murphy's Motor Module quickly became my favorite item in the entire game. The way it resets Powerslide's cooldown on eliminations creates this beautiful rhythm to combat. I slide in, get an elimination, slide again, reload thanks to Lock and Load, and continue the cycle. In one particularly intense match, I chained together seven eliminations without ever stopping motion or manually reloading.
Eye of the Spider gives me that extra edge against low-health enemies, and Espresso Shots has led to some of my longest Ultimate durations ever. There's nothing quite like extending your Ultimate by two seconds with each elimination, creating these moments where it feels like you're invincible for half the match.
The Talon Modification Module's 15% weapon power boost might seem modest, but when stacked with all my other buffs, it pushes Sojourn's damage to absurd levels. I've one-shot full-health supports with perfectly charged headshots.
The Game-Changing Gadget
When Blizzard introduced Gadgets to Stadium mode in early 2025, it opened up entirely new dimensions of gameplay. The Jet Skates gadget has saved my life countless times, allowing me to dash in unexpected directions and catch enemies completely off guard.
My favorite tactic is to Powerslide toward an enemy team, fire off a charged shot, then use Jet Skates to dash sideways or backward when they try to focus me. The confusion this creates often gives me enough time to charge another shot and continue the assault.
The Learning Curve
I won't pretend mastering Sojourn in Stadium is easy. She demands precision and quick decision-making that other DPS heroes don't require to the same degree. My first few matches were humbling experiences, with more deaths than eliminations as I struggled to land charged shots consistently.
But the investment in practice has paid off tremendously. There's a certain satisfaction in knowing you're playing one of the highest skill-ceiling heroes in the mode and performing well. When you start consistently landing those charged headshots and chaining eliminations, few gaming experiences can match the rush.
The Results Speak for Themselves
With this build, my win rate with Sojourn has climbed to nearly 70% in solo queue matches. In premade teams, it's even higher. The raw damage output combined with her mobility makes her nearly unstoppable in the right hands.
What I find most interesting is how flexible this build remains despite its focus on weapon power. I can play aggressively, using Powerslide and Jet Skates to dive backlines, or I can hang back and pick off enemies from range with charged shots.
As we move through 2025 and Blizzard continues to adjust Stadium balance, I wonder if we'll see changes to Sojourn's kit or available Powers and items. For now, though, she remains my go-to pick for climbing the Stadium ranks.
What about you? Have you found a Stadium hero that clicks with your playstyle the way Sojourn has with mine, or are you still searching for that perfect match between hero and player?
